Here I straddle the border
between two absolutes
undulant and alone
feet firmly planted in soils
that
stain the soles uniquely
It is difficult to stand in balance
It is hard to follow both horizons
each
blinded in confused
sunsets
hues conflict in a cloudless sky
while below my shadow arches
across
itself
laid
flat on coupled foreign lands
A figure twice approaches me
from
opposite directions
I glance across the mirror plane
But the glare hits me hard there
and the eyes seethe
These silhouettes backlit racing
in
parallel for me
These dragons consuming
each
other’s tail
They call to me in different tongues
and
beckon with a flick
Resolute to stay this ground
yet still unsure
